Getting started

1. Receive

In Settings, set the Receive Port (e.g. 8000) and tap Start Listening (the app also starts listening automatically on launch). Give the Local IP shown at the top of the Monitor screen to whatever is sending to you.

2. Send

On the Send screen, enter the target IP / port, address, type and value, then tap SEND. Keep frequently used messages as Quick Send buttons.

3. Saved settings

Your receive port and default target are stored locally on the device and remain available the next time you launch the app.

Frequently asked questions

I can't receive any messages.+

Check that both devices are on the same network/subnet, that your firewall allows the UDP port, and that the sender's port matches OSCope's Receive Port. On iOS, you must tap “Allow” on the Local Network permission prompt shown the first time the app communicates.

I send messages but they don't arrive.+

Verify the target IP and port are correct, and that the receiving app's OSC input is enabled with a matching port number.

Where can I find my IP address?+

It is shown as the Local IP at the top of the Monitor screen and on the Settings screen.

Which data types are supported?+

int (i), float (f), string (s), and bool (T/F). OSC Bundles are not supported — only single messages.

The log scrolls away too quickly.+

The log keeps the latest 200 messages in memory. Use Pause to stop the display from updating, or Clear to empty it.
